Beatriz Alvarez Williamson is pleased to announce the domestic partnership of her daughter, Jessica Lee Williamson, to Patrick Burke Rohen, son of Dr. Robert and Mrs. Sandra Rohen. The afternoon ceremony took place on February 17, 2009 at the local Mail -N-More, on the corner of Hollywood and La Brea. The ceremony, marking their short term commitment to each other and earnest desire for decent health insurance, was nonchalantly presided over by Notary Public/ Mail-N-More Cashier Kim Lee. Presumably leftover from Valentines Day, the advertisements in the store were a glorious red and filled the two with joy, Jessica in a lovely flannel and unripped jeans, Patrick, dignified in his work attire. No official witnesses were present but a fellow customer happened to be checking his PO Box and may have overheard a few of the loving exchanges made by the newly official couple. After Providing Mrs.Lee with copies of their debit cards and drivers licenses, Patrick and Jessica were declared Domestic Partners until they decide otherwise. They declined the offer for the $20 receipt, choosing instead to cherish the day through the retelling of the story for years/months to come. The couple shrewdly combined celebration with grocery shopping, toasting a lovely fruit juice accompanied by a free sample of Trader Joe’s Organic Baked Beans. Please hold your gifts until the couple has settled into their new residence in which they optimistically committed to a full year lease.
